NEPSE Rises Modestly in Pre-Open Session

Nepal’s benchmark equity index advanced marginally during the pre-open session on Wednesday, indicating a cautiously positive opening for the day’s trading.
The NEPSE index, which had closed 9.93 points higher at 2,649.30 in the previous session on Tuesday, added a further 1.64 points in the pre-open window to reach 2,650.95. The Sensitive Index, however, slipped by 0.24 point, reflecting mixed sentiment among investors ahead of regular trading hours.
Trading activity remained limited during the pre-open session. A total of 32,535 shares were exchanged across 48 stocks through 108 transactions, generating a turnover of Rs 23.85 million.
Market breadth was mixed, with prices of 22 stocks advancing, while 24 stocks declined. The remaining two stocks traded flat during the session, underscoring selective participation by investors ahead of the full trading session at the Nepal Stock Exchange.
