NEPSE Warns Against Misleading Stock Market Content on Social Media
NEPSE has urged investors to remain cautious of fake stock tips and misleading market content spreading on social media, warning that it never recommends securities trading or guarantees returns.

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) has issued a public notice cautioning investors about misleading and unauthorized stock market content circulating on social media platforms.
According to spokesperson Murahari Parajuli, several fake videos, audios, stock tips, and trading recommendations have recently been shared using NEPSE’s name, potentially harming investor confidence.
The notice clarified that NEPSE does not recommend buying or selling any securities, set trading prices, or guarantee investment returns. It also emphasized that such activities are punishable offenses under Nepali law.
NEPSE urged investors to rely only on official announcements published on its website and to immediately report any suspicious stock market content encountered on social media.
