NIC Asia Capital Launches Equity-Linked Investment Scheme, Applications Open Today
NIC Asia Capital has opened applications for its new open-ended mutual fund, offering 500 million units worth NPR 50 per unit, with a minimum investment of 100 units.

Kathmandu, Aug. 14, 2025 — NIC Asia Capital Ltd. today opened subscriptions for its new open-ended mutual fund, the NIC Asia Equity-Linked Investment Scheme.
The fund will issue 500 million units at a face value of NPR 10 per unit, amounting to NPR 5 billion. Out of a total 1 billion units authorized for the scheme, 150 million units (15%) worth NPR 1.5 billion will be secured as seed capital for NIC Asia Bank, the scheme sponsor. The remaining 850 million units will see 500 million units offered to the public in this phase.
Applications require a minimum subscription of 100 units and allow a maximum of 10 million units per investor.
The scheme will be operated under the NIC Asia Bank Mutual Fund platform, with the application period open until Bhadra 2, 2082 (Aug. 18, 2025). If undersubscribed, the period may extend to Bhadra 12, 2082 (Aug. 28, 2025). The issue will be allotted if at least 50% of units are subscribed; otherwise, it will be canceled and investors refunded within 15 days.
Infomerics Credit Rating Nepal has assigned the fund sponsor an IRN Triple B issuer rating, while ICRA Nepal has rated the scheme manager CARE NP-AMC Quality 3+.
Applications can be submitted via C-ASBA-approved banks, financial institutions, and the Mero Share web and mobile platforms.
