People's Power Extends Right Share Application Deadline Till Shrawan 26
People's Power Ltd. has extended the deadline to apply for its 50% right share issue till Shrawan 26, 2082.

People’s Power Limited (PPL) has announced an extension in the deadline for applying to its 50% rights offering. Investors can now submit their applications until Shrawan 26, 2082 (August 10, 2025).
The company had opened the rights issue from Asar 22, issuing 3.16 million units of shares at a face value of NPR 100 per share. The rights ratio is set at 10:5, meaning existing shareholders can apply for 5 new shares for every 10 they currently hold.
The company had declared book closure on Asar 2, so shareholders who held PPL stock till Asar 1 are eligible to apply.
As per CARE Ratings Nepal, the issue has received a CARE-NP BB issuer rating, indicating moderate credit risk and average ability to meet financial obligations on time.
The issue manager for this rights offering is Prabhu Capital Limited. Investors can submit their applications through the capital's office or at selected Prabhu Bank branches including Ilam, Jawalakhel (Lalitpur), Birgunj, Pokhara, Butwal, Surkhet, and Dhangadhi.
Applications can also be submitted via ASBA-participating BFIs or through the ‘MeroShare’ online portal developed by CDSC.
Post-rights issue, the company's paid-up capital will increase from NPR 632.6 million to NPR 948.9 million.
The capital raised will be primarily used to repay part of the bank loans taken for the Puwa-2 Hydropower Project, and to fund the remaining construction costs of the same. Some amount will also be allocated to other hydropower projects promoted by the company.
