Sagar Distillery Opens IPO for Nepalis Working Abroad
Sagar Distillery launches IPO for migrant Nepalis, offering 145,200 shares at NPR 100 each, open until Sept. 17.

Sagar Distillery Ltd. has opened its initial public offering (IPO) exclusively for Nepalis working overseas, starting today, August 13. The offering covers 145,200 ordinary shares, each priced at NPR 100, representing NPR 14.52 million in total. This tranche accounts for 10% of the company’s approved 20% public float from its NPR 726 million issued capital.
Eligible applicants are Nepalis who have received official labor permits from the Government of Nepal and are currently employed abroad. Applications will remain open until September 17, 2025, with an extension to September 27 if undersubscribed. The minimum subscription is 10 shares, while the maximum is capped at 7,000 shares per applicant.
Infomerics Credit Rating Nepal has assigned the company an IRN Single B Plus rating, indicating high risk regarding timely debt servicing. Muktinath Capital Ltd. is managing the issuance. Migrant workers can apply through the C-ASBA system via approved banks and financial institutions licensed by the Securities Board of Nepal.
