Silver Hits New Record as Gold Jumps by Rs 1,400 per Tola

Nepal’s precious metals market saw a strong upswing on Monday, with both gold and silver posting notable gains amid heightened trading sentiment. According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association, the price of hallmark gold climbed by Rs 1,400 per tola, reaching Rs 253,600. This marks a significant rise compared to Sunday, when gold was traded at Rs 252,200 per tola.

Silver also extended its upward trajectory, touching a new record as demand remained firm. After closing at Rs 3,490 per tola on Sunday, silver advanced to Rs 3,535 per tola on Monday, reflecting a daily increase of Rs 45. Market analysts suggest the rally in both metals aligns with global trends, with investors turning toward safe-haven assets amidst broader economic uncertainty.

The concurrent rise in gold and silver prices underscores growing interest in precious metals within the domestic market, reinforcing expectations of continued volatility and stronger investor participation in the days ahead.
